We came in from the east side of town, backtracking a little from the original route. For this part of central New York, Paddle-N-More at Myers Park holds its own.
The trail runs about two miles before it opens into the open meadow section. That transition is abrupt in the best way.
My kids needed convincing at the trailhead and were unwilling to leave by the turnaround.
