I had passed this place a dozen times before I finally stopped. For this part of central New York, Notch 8 Cafe & Bar holds its own.
The chicken dish was the sleeper on the menu. Properly rested, seasoned with restraint, plated without theater.
The front of house staff managed the floor confidently. Nobody was waiting on water.
The limitation was real but not the point of the experience. The point delivered.
