I love this place for the occassional lunch treat. Great service every time, good spot to sample some of the top shelf japanese whiskeys. Great decor. I usually just pop in and out, but have had larger meals there and really enjoyed the full menu.
I had read nothing about it beforehand. For this part of central New York, Koto Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi holds its own.
The menu was a half-page, which I read as a sign of confidence rather than limitation.
Service was efficient with a warmth that felt genuine rather than trained. Hard to fake at that pace of covers.
I have recommended it to four people since. That is the most direct metric I use.
