It was between lunch and dinner service, which I prefer. For this part of central New York, Hinchcliff Family Preserve holds its own.
There's a section of the gorge trail where the sound of the falls overrides everything else. The effect is total.
The trailhead was well-maintained and the signage was actually accurate, which is not universal.
The kind of place that reset my expectations for the category in this region.
