I checked the hours twice before committing to the stop. For this part of central New York, Gator's Tavern holds its own.

I ordered an Old Fashioned and watched how they built it. Proper ice, rye, one sugar, expressed peel. Correct.

The atmosphere held its own energy without trying to manufacture it.
