Wanderlust
Sun on the porch and the day still quiet
Birdsong threads through a barely moving breeze
The trailhead waits past the edge of the gravel
Boots tap twice, then start down the slope
A nature walk, it's only natural
Summer calls, can't wait—to see it all before fall
Light drips low through the curve of the trees
Ash floats slow as the fire breathes
Ripples hum under hands that press deep
Laughter echoes off skin in the dark
Every hour tastes like something given
And this night might never end
Bare shoulders glowing where the sun still lingers
Feet shuffle slow, hips caught in the spell
Tongues wet lips like they're tasting the tension
And every nerve waits, humming in the heat
A nature walk, it's only natural
Summer calls, can't wait—to see it all before fall
Light drips low through the curve of the trees
Ash floats slow as the fire breathes
Ripples hum under hands that press deep
Laughter echoes off skin in the dark
Every hour tastes like something given
And this night might never end
Paddle slips clean through glass-flat water
Forearms flex with each slow pull
Lilies part without resistance
Sun paints shoulders in long, soft lines
The river asks nothing, gives everything back
And no one speaks, because nothing is missing
Light drips low through the curve of the trees
Ash floats slow as the fire breathes
Ripples hum under hands that press deep
Laughter echoes off skin in the dark
Every hour tastes like something given
And this night might never end
There's a pull in the chest, not the feet
Call it wanderlust, or just the heat
No map, no reason, just trust the rush
Some roads don't wait—they move through us
Blanket pulled high, limbs softly intertwined
The screen flickers low, casting shifting light
Heat builds slow beneath the woven cover
Pillows shift with each quiet breath
The credits roll but no one's been watching
This glow may last all...
